Ending a Worker's Engagement

Our end of engagement form requests all the necessary information to ensure compliant next steps. Please note, these instructions are for ending US engagements only. If you are considering offboarding an international worker (outside of the US), scroll to the bottom of the article for guidance.

The quick  step-by-step procedure will showcase everything you need to properly end a worker’s engagement. You can also find best practices throughout the guide to help you!

Before getting started…

To ensure proper handling of final pay, it is requested to provide TCWGlobal with at least 24 hours’ notice before the US worker’s last workday.

⚠️For a same-day US end of engagement, please contact your TCWGlobal Account Manager directly or email hello@tcwglobal.com during business hours 7:00am-5:30pm PST before submitting this form so our team can best assist with your urgent request.

Best Practice – Plan in advance: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is best, but the soonest you know you’d like to end an engagement, you can begin the conversation with TCWGlobal.

1. Locate Desired Worker

On the Engagements tab, locate and click on the worker and select “End Engagement” in the top right of the pusher.

2. Complete End Engagement Form

Review each field closely to input the appropriate details - The below will assist you with helpful tips.

Best Practice – Provide accurate final hours up front: We are required to follow final pay laws, so providing these in advance and/or during the termination itself ensures we meet those requirements. Plus, it helps avoid any unexpected cost, delays, or additional follow-up.

 3. Next Steps from TCWGlobal

Once you’ve completed all required fields, select “End Engagement” – This does not notify your worker, only your TCWGlobal support team to proceed with closing out the worker appropriately!

Best Practice - Notify TCWGlobal of any changes: If there is a change in what was submitted, please reach out to your TCWGlobal Support team. Keeping us in the know ensures we can make the experience easy for our clients, and workers alike.
