Employment Agreement


  • Official employer of record: TCW Global NZ Ltd
  • Contracts may include a trial or probationary period.

Termination Notice

  • Employees must be given advance notice prior to terminations, except cases of serious misconduct. 

  • The amount of notice depends on the employees’ contract.

  • Employees’ required notice to the employer mirrors the contract. Employees can be paid in lieu of notice.

What you need to know

Average work week
38 to 40 hours per week.
Holidays
All employees are entitled to at least 11 paid holidays per year.
Overtime Pay
The hours that are agreed to in an employment agreement are generally the only hours that an employee needs to be present at work. The employer and employee can agree on an arrangement regarding whether overtime is factored into the salary or paid at the employee’s normal pay rate.
Vacation/Sick Leave
Annual leave is 4 weeks paid vacation per year starting 12 months continuous employment. Employees get five days paid sick leave a year after the first six months of continuous employment and an additional five days paid sick leave after each subsequent 12 month period.
