Timecard Creation & Submission

"How can I find my current assignment in WebCenter?"

  • Under the “Assignments” tab in WebCenter, select the “Current” tab on the left side. If you’re not seeing your full list of assignments, double check the search bar on the right side is cleared of any details. 


"What do the different terms mean when creating my timecard?"

  • These are called paycodes which are associated with the type of hours you may submit your timecard for. Here are a few common ones that can vary on who they apply to:
    • Reg → “Reg” means your regular working hours. This is the most commonly used paycode. 
    • Sick → “Sick” is used if you have sick time available per a company policy or required by your local state or city ordinance. Please feel free to reach out to hello@tcwglobal.com to confirm if you qualify.
    • Hol → “Hol” is used to show the hours you worked on a pre-qualified holiday confirmed by your company's policy. Please feel free to reach out to hello@tcwglobal.com to confirm if this is available to you!
    • Vac1/PTO → "Vac1/PTO" is used to reflect any hours you took off from work for a pre-approved vacation/paid time off per your company's policy. Please feel free to reach out to hello@tcwglobal.com to confirm if this is available to you!

"How can I create a timecard for a previous week?"

  • Creating a timecard for the previous week is quick and easy! You'll follow the normal instructions towards creating your timecard which can be referenced within the Creating a WebCenter Timecard article with an emphasis on Step 3.
    • There is a calendar icon that will allow you to select any prior week within your active assignment! You'll then proceed with creating your timecard as normal.

"When is the latest in the week I can submit my timecard?"

  • To ensure timely reviewal from your approver, we recommend submitting your timecard no later than Sunday, or after your last shift of the week. 
  • You'll also receive timecard submission reminders in the event you have forgotten to submit your timecard after Sunday!

"I forgot to submit my timecard, what do I do?"

  • No worries! Follow the steps outlined above for the question "How can I create a timecard for a previous week?"  and notify your Global Account Manager and timecard approver for awareness.
  • Depending on when it's submitted and approved will determine when you will receive your payment.

"Do I need to submit timecards each week if I'm salary?"

  • Yes, we require timecards to be submitted on a weekly basis in order for your hours to be reviewed and approved for payment by your timecard approver!

Timecard Approvals

"Who approves my hours?"

  • Your direct supervisor is often your timecard approver. They'll receive notifications once you submit your timecard(s) each week. If you need more specific information, please email us at hello@tcwglobal.com or call us at 858-810-3000.

"How do I know if my timecard was approved?"

  • Depending on your notification settings for WebCenter, you'll receive an email when your timecard is approved! You can also log into WebCenter and navigate to your "Timecard" tab. Under "Submitted", you can view your timecard's status.

"What do I do if my timecard hasn't been approved on time?"

  • Rest assured that TCWGlobal will send reminders to your timecard approver to ensure your timecard is approved for timely payment! 
  • You may also follow up with your timecard approver directly if you have any questions regarding your timecard's approval.

"What do I do if my timecard was rejected?"

  • Depending on your notification settings for WebCenter, you'll receive an email when your timecard is rejected with the reasoning. To adjust for resubmission, complete the following:
    • Log into WebCenter and navigate to your "Timecard" tab. Under "Need Attention", locate the "Rejected" timecard. You can also hover over the "i" icon to review the rejected notes.
    • Click on "Edit/Submit" for the corresponding timecard and make the applicable updates before re-submitting.
