Short-Term Disability (STD)

With TCWGlobal’s STD plan through UNUM, you can choose from $50 to $2,000 a week, up to 25% of your earnings. If you choose to enroll in the plan, TCWGlobal covers a portion of the premium. Enrolled employees in California can receive up to 25% of pre-disability income on top of the funds received from CA SDI for a total of 85% wage replacement.

Long-Term Disability (LTD)

LTD insurance replaces a portion of your income if you have an accident or illness that prevents you from working for an extended period. TCWGlobal offers this benefit to eligible employees at no cost. Benefits begin after 180 days of disability (after short-term disability runs out). Employees receive 60% of pre-disability earnings to a maximum of $6,000 per month up to normal retirement age.

UNUM Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)

TCWGlobal provides basic term life and AD&D insurance through UNUM at no cost to you. This benefit is equal to two times your yearly earnings up to $200,000. If your death is due to a covered accident or injury, your beneficiary will receive an additional amount.

UNUM Voluntary Life and AD&D 

You may purchase additional life and AD&D benefits at our discounted group rate, if the amount that TCWGlobal provides does not meet your needs. 

 

Coverage Maximums 

Employee

Five times your annual earnings up to $500,000 maximum, in $10,000 increments. 

Spouse

100% of your amount of insurance up to $500,000 maximum, in $5,000 increments. 

Child

Up to $10,000 in $2,000 increments (up to age 19 or 26 for full-time student). Maximum benefit from birth to 6 months is $1,000.

Charitable Match Program

We support your efforts to make charitable donations and want to help by matching up to $5,000 per year to all certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. All you must do is fill out the Giving Together Form, upload receipt of your donation and TCWGlobal will match your contribution. Employees must be employed for at least 30 days to be eligible.
